Al-Burhan: Soon the rebellion will be eliminated

The Chairman of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, said that his visit to the State of Qatar came to express thanks for its continuous support to the Sudanese people.
Al-Burhan explained in press statements that he informed the Qatari leadership about developments in the situation in Sudan against the backdrop of the Rapid Support Forces’ rebellion against the state.
“Soon this rebellion will be eliminated and the Sudanese people will enjoy peace and stability.” He added. He stated that efforts are continuing to stop the suffering of the Sudanese and return things to normal, adding that the current stage is to stop the war and then it is possible to talk about other matters.
Al-Burhan said: We in the armed forces reassure the Sudanese people that we are continuing to complete the tasks of the transitional phase and transition to democratic civilian rule after eliminating this rebellion.
Sudan has been witnessing a war since the fifteenth of last April, between the army and the Rapid Support Forces.
