Washington condemns Sudan threats on (UNAMITS)

The US permanent representative Linda Thomas Greenfield condemned the militant Sudanese leaders’ threats on exterminating the UN mission in Sudan, and to which she refered as “unacceptable.”
“This threat is “condemnable” and the militant leaders must withdraw it promptly. Specially for the mission’s significant role to ensure the UN’s support for the Sudanese people,” Said the representative in an interview with “Foreign Policy” magazine.
Greenfield urged the militant leaders in Sudan on “holding discussions on finding methods to cooperate with the UN in order to open humanitarian passages for aids, and to grant visa for the humanitarian personnel.”
