Health Insurance: Partnership with Supplies Ensures Provision of Grant Medicines at Service Outlets

The National Health Insurance Fund welcomed the activation of the partnership with the National Medical Supplies Fund to ensure the smooth flow of drug supply and the provision of grant and donation medicines at health insurance outlets to make health services available fairly to the insured throughout the country.
The Acting Director General, Dr. Farouk Nour Al-Daim, revealed in statements that health services were provided to (3,100,000) citizens and (434,000) people with chronic diseases, and that (22,000) surgical operations were performed through (254) direct outlets and (127) hospitals at the state level of the country.
Nour Al-Daim emphasized the Fund’s interest in expatriates from Khartoum State by providing medical services to more than a million of them through insurance outlets spread across the states, in partnership with many community organisations.
He appreciated the size of the ongoing interventions in the Gedaref and Kassala branches to combat dengue fever and cholera diseases, and added that there is an ambitious plan for the coming months.
