Khartoum – Sudan Events

The Acting Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Muhammad Ibrahim, said that his ministry was keen to provide all medicines, especially life-saving ones, in light of the current circumstances, revealing that great efforts are being made to provide a stable drug supply to the country through international charitable funds and donors, especially emergency medicines and free treatment.

During his inspection of the free treatment stores in Wad Madani, Ibrahim stated that the health sector is one of the most important sectors that received attention from donors, organizations, and the government, especially in the pharmaceutical supply.

While the Director General of the Ministry of Health in the Al-Gezira, Dr. Osama Abdel Rahman, confirmed the stability of the drug supply in the state, he also requested that some of the shortages in kidney and cancer medications be completed, given that the state receives large numbers of patients coming from Khartoum and other states.
