Religious Affairs and Endowments Organizes a Brainstorming Forum to Evaluate 1444 AH Hajj

The work of the Federal Evaluation Forum for Hajj Works for the Year 1444 AH was launched this Thursday morning in the capital of Kassala State, under the slogan: “Towards a New Horizon for Hajj Works”.
In his speech, the Acting Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, Abdel-Ati Ahmed Abbas, praised the Armed Forces that provided what was precious and valuable to preserve the heritage, security and stability of the country until it was crowned with the success of Sudanese pilgrims arriving to the Holy Lands. This was after they were attacked by the cursed war after they began to apply and pay the fees for the 1444 AH Hajj, indicating that Llast year’s Hajj was the most exceptional in terms of the technical, financial, administrative and logistical complexities that faced the arrival of pilgrims to the Holy Land.
Abbas said, “Therefore, it was necessary to sit in this gathering of Hajj partners to document the activities of the season so that it would be a historical document that will be passed down to future generations and to show persistence and determination to achieve the goals.” He stressed his ministry’s keenness that Sudan and its people would not be absent from the comprehensive Islamic conference, noting that the Hajj secretariats in the center and the states made an effort. It was significant in ensuring the arrival of pilgrims from the states affected by the war, without preventing them from reaching the Holy Lands, despite the circumstances and complications, via a long journey by land to Port Sudan and from there via air and sea transportation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Acting Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Hajj and Umrah, Ahmed Sir Al- Al-Khatim, addressed the forum from Mecca via video conference technology, and said that addressing many issues in the current circumstances requires tight coordination between the agencies working in Hajj and adherence to the general directives issued by the Hajj authorities in the Kingdom and their developments in the year 1445 AH.
He stated that he is now in Makkah Al-Mukarramah to meet the first directives to start the upcoming Hajj work early in accordance with the requirements of the electronic matrix for procedures.
