Human Rights Observatory in Sudan Accuses Rapid Support militia of committing violations in “Al-Ailafoun”

Sudan Events – Talal Mudathir

A statement issued Tuesday by the East Nile Observatory for Human Rights regarding the situation in the city of Al-Ailfoun – east of Khartoum – said that militia soldiers still continue to invade the city’s neighborhoods for the fourth day in a row, with ongoing violations against defenseless citizens and a continuous campaign of arrests of young people.

The Observatory appealed to the Red Cross and international organizations to provide the necessary assistance urgently and warned the Rapid Support militia to refrain from attacking civilian citizens, and to stop the violations that the Observatory considered to be in violation of international and local laws and norms, and to place them before local and international criminal accountability.
