Arab Group at UNESCO calls for Development Plan for Post-war Sudan

The Arab Group at UNESCO called for the development of an action plan for the post-war phase in Sudan to rehabilitate educational and cultural institutions and World Heritage sites affected by the war in the country. This is in addition to supporting women and girls as well as reducing gender-based violence.

In a statement by the Arab Group before the meeting of the Executive Council of UNESCO at its 217th session today, Tuesday, in Paris, the organization expressed its hope that the war in Sudan will end soon and that peace and stability will prevail throughout the country.
