Sudanese University Presents “Road Map” to Solve Crisis

On Tuesday, a Sudanese university presented a road map to resolve the crisis in the country.

The director of the University of Gezira, Salah al-Din Muhammad al-Arabi, said in a press conference to announce the initiative in the city of Wad Madani: “We present a road map to solve the Sudanese crisis that we present to all parties and entities. Every effort we make is based on scientific reference.”

He pointed out that the initiative was based on a research effort to develop effective solutions. He also revealed the formation of a committee to resolve the Sudanese crisis at the university, which includes 17 members, to develop a scientific vision for the solution.

The director also added that the road map is open for discussion on 5 axes related to political, security, legal, constitutional, social, economic, media, and war and peace issues.

For his part, Farouk Babiker, the alternate head of the Sudanese Crisis Resolution Committee at the University of Gezira, said that the objectives of the initiative include analyzing the causes of the Sudanese crisis and its impact on society, providing scientific solution proposals, drawing a road map, and communicating with political and civil society activities.

He concluded that the road map will announce its final recommendations at the end of next November after meeting with all parties and entities.
