Chairperson of the African Union Commission to Cairo for Meetings with Sudanese Leaders

An African diplomatic delegation led by the Chairman of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki, is set to arrive in the Egyptian capital on Monday to discuss ending the war in Sudan.

According to the Saudi East Channel, the African Union delegation is scheduled to meet with three Sudanese political blocs today, including the National Consensus Forces, the Freedom and Change Alliance (the Democratic Bloc), and the National Accord – led by Mubarak al-Fadil.

The channel also reported that the African diplomatic delegation is exploring the possibility of a ceasefire and consulting on how the Sudanese national dialogue process can lead to a new political initiative.
