Reports: Stability of Shelter Centres in Al-Gezira State

The meeting of the Technical Committee for Shelter Centres in Al-Gezira State reviewed a number of reports about the displaced, confirming the stability of health, food and security conditions.
The state’s Humanitarian Aid Commissioner, Asaad Al-Sir, said at the meeting (Sunday) at the government secretariat that the food conditions in all centers are stable, praising the community and peoples’ role in providing aids, and appreciating the role of international and national organizations in providing humanitarian aid to the displaced.
While the representative of the Ministry of Health announced the implementation of several environmental sanitation, hygiene and sterilization campaigns, which included the distribution of soap and disinfectants, which contributed to stabilizing the health conditions in the centers, he added, “There are no cases of infection.”
In addition, the police representative confirmed the stability of the security situation in centres and indicated that it would be secured with fixed police forces in addition to the daily patrol.
