Gold prices in Sudan recorded a new high today (Monday), that the goldsmiths and traders attributed to the rise in dollar price .

Mujahid Ali, owner of Casablanca Jewellery, told Sudan Events that the price of a gram of 21 carat gold during Monday’s trading wasSDGs

(33,795),while the price of a gram of 24 karat gold reached SDGs(38,622) .

In addition, the price of 18 karat gold reached SDGs28,967 equivalent to $48.39 .

Mujahid revealed a large movement of women selling gold and disposing of their jewellery, for the purpose of meeting family expenses.
