El-Sisi: Egypt and South Sudan’ Role is impivotal in Solving Sudanese crisis

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi said that he held bilateral discussions today, Monday, with South Sudan President Salva Kiir on strengthening the partnership between the two countries, continuing: We consulted on the Sudanese crisis and its repercussions, especially on neighboring countries, and we agreed to intensify efforts in order to find urgent solutions to the crisis.

Al-Sisi added during his press conference with the President of South Sudan: We agreed to intensify efforts with the concerned parties inside Sudan in order to spare the Sudanese people from further destruction.

He added: We also agreed to call on the various Sudanese parties to give priority to the supreme national interest of Sudan over any individual interests or individual interventions that would increase the crisis and prolong it.
He added: The role of Egypt and South Sudan is pivotal in resolving the Sudanese crisis, and this must not be overlooked in any initiatives or efforts proposed to resolve the crisis, especially since the two countries have the greatest understanding of the crisis.

Today, Monday, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received Salva Kiir Mayardit, President of the Republic of South Sudan, at the Federal Palace, to hold bilateral discussions.
