Details on Closure of Port Sudan Airport

Khartoum – Sudan Events

Administration of Port Sudan Airport in eastern Sudan denied what was reported in the media about the issuance of a decision to stop flights and close the airport this month, and confirmed that these conversations are just baseless rumours.

The Deputy Director General of the Airport, Yahya Ahmed Mohammed, pointed out that the flight operating schedule is proceeding regularly, and he said in an interview with Baladna Air that the Badr and Tarco companies operate flights to a number of foreign destinations, most notably Jeddah, Dubai, and Addis Ababa.
