Deduction of 10 points from Everton’s balance for violating financial rules

The English Football League announced today, Friday, that it deducted 10 points from Everton’s balance for violating the Premier League’s financial rules.

The English Premier League said that it had deducted ten points from Everton’s balance for violating the league’s regulations regarding profits and sustainability during the 2021-2022 season.

The association added that the committee concluded that Everton’s accounts during the aforementioned period revealed losses worth £124.5 million ($154.70 million), which means that they exceed the permitted amount of £105 million.

Everton suffered losses for five consecutive years, totaling more than £430 million during that period.
