Governor: Inaugurates Distribution of School Supplies

The Governor of the River Nile State, Dr. Mohammad Abdel Majied Al-Badawi, has charged that hidden hands and countries are working to destroy Sudan in all aspects of life, especially educational programs.
The Governor affirmed, today (Tuesday), at the inauguration of the student school supplies distribution program at the Zakat Chamber in Al-Damer locality, that the state is safe and stable.
He announced the opening of educational levels from kindergartens to universities.
He said his state has accommodated more than (152) thousand displaced students, in addition to providing medicines for kidney patients worth more than (30) billion pounds.
The Minister of Social Development in the state appreciated the role of Zakat in stabilizing education and supporting vulnerable sectors of the population.
She underlined her ministry’s support for the educational process by creating the educational environment in coordination with relevant institutions and local and foreign organizations working in the field of education.
Meanwhile Dr. Yahya Ahmed Al-Qamrawi said that the Zakat Chamber in the various localities of the state provide more than (15) thousand school uniforms for displaced students and the poor, promising to increase the number.
