Blue Nile: resuming Chromium production

The Director General of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company Limited, Mohamed Taher Omer, instructed concerned authorities to mobilize resources for an impetus in mining activities in the Blue Nile Region, with the view to achieve a renaissance in the field of industries and minerals production in the region.
During his meeting in Port Sudan, with the Governor of the Blue Nile Region and a number of members of the Blue Nile government, Mohammed Taher confirmed that the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company, in coordination with the Ministry of Minerals, is seeking to resolve all problems facing the sector in the region.
He underscored the need to revamp chromium production activity early next year and to increase gold production.
