Warning: Sudanese Traveling to Egypt
Sudan Events – Rehab Abdullah
The Sudanese Consulate in Aswan has warned against the dangers to which Sudanese families and individuals expose these when taking illegal routes to infiltrate into Egypt.
It said that among the greatest risks to which they are exposed are traffic accidents involving vehicles used in the smuggling process, exposure to looting and extortion by human smuggling gangs, getting lost in the desert, and exposure to arrest and imprisonment.
It stressed that whoever survives all of this will be in violation of the law and is considered vulnerable to arrest at any time. He will not be able to enroll his children in schools and universities, nor will he be able to travel to any other country, nor will he be able to return to Sudan in a legal manner.
The consulate indicated that during the months of October and November until December 22, five traffic accidents occurred, causing the deaths of many people, in addition to dozens of injuries, some of whom suffered severe injuries with a lasting impact.
The consulate renewed it’s advise to Sudanese citizens to refrain from attempting to enter Egypt via illegal methods.
