Today, the container-ship Lady Miria, belonging to the shipping line (legend line), carrying (135) containers of Sudanese sesame exports departed from Port Sudan heading to Türkiye.
The ship had been subjected to a natural tilt at Quay (18) in the southern port, and its slope reached (5) degrees to the right of the dock due to the balance. The ship’s captain was able to restore balance to the ship. After that, the ship continued its shipping operations normally and left in complete stability.
This is the ship’s 19th voyage to the Port of Port Sudan, and it is known in the field of navigation that ships face leaning situations as a natural condition associated with balance water tanks that maintain the ship’s balance during the operations of handling loading, unloading and sailing.
