Hassan Ouattara Stadium Hosts opening of African Nations Cup

It has become officially that the “Alassane Ouattara” stadium in Enyeama, north of the capital, Abidjan, the capital of Ivory Coast, is the one that will host the opening of the continental competition, with a match between the Ivory Elephants, the organizing country, and the Guinea-Bissau national team, on January 13th.
Hassan Ouattara Stadium has a capacity of 60,000 spectators, and it is one of six stadiums that host matches from 24 teams, competing over a period of 28 days, with the tournament ending on February 11.
The champion of the next edition of the African Cup of Nations will be awarded $7 million, a 40% increase, while the runner-up will receive $4 million, while third and fourth place will receive $2.5 million equally.
