CAF Fines Ghana $15000 Over Fans Trouble During AFCON

Abidjan – Sudan Events

Today, Tuesday, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) imposed a financial penalty on the Ghana national team, nicknamed the “Black Stars,” despite their exit from the competition for the African Nations Championship title, which is currently taking place in Ivory Coast.

CAF fined Ghana $15,000 as punishment for the rioting of its supporters during its match against Cape Verde in the second round, which ended with Ghana losing by two goals.

The Ghana national team was eliminated after obtaining only two points out of three matches it played in the tournament, losing one match and drawing two, which did not qualify it to advance to the second stage.
