TSC Dscusses Humanitarian Work Obstacles with the UN Coordinator

Member of the Sovereignty Council, Lt. Gen. Marine Engineer Ibrahim Jaber, met today with the United Nations UN Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs, Clement Salami, in the presence of Salah Al-Mubarak, Commissioner-General of Humanitarian Aid, and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Peace Commission, and the relevant agencies.
The meeting tackled the humanitarian situation in Sudan and efforts to deliver humanitarian aid to citizens.
Salah Al-Mubarak, Commissioner General of Humanitarian Aid, said in a press statement that the meeting addressed the obstacles that facing the humanitarian work.
He stated that the member of the Sovereign Council affirmed during the meeting the readiness of state institutions and agencies to cooperate to overcome the obstacles facing United Nations organizations and voluntary organizations aiming to facilitate the flow of humanitarian aid to citizens, explaining that the country is going through difficult conditions due to the war, that requires cooperation of all parties to provide aid to those in need , affirming the readiness of the Government of Sudan to cooperate with United Nations UN agencies and specialized organizations in order to deliver aid to citizens who were affected by the war launched by the rebel Rapid Support RSF militia against the State.
