The media secretary of the Goldsmiths and Gold Exporters Division, Atef Ahmed, acknowledged the weakness of gold exports over the past days, and during his talk to (Al-Ahdaath), he attributed it to the problems facing the communications network at the present time, which he considered to have hindered communication between the parties to the export process, at a time when Atef admitted to the continuation of gold exports. To the UAE, pointing out that there are no official directives to stop economic dealings with the UAE due to its support for the Rapid Support militia.

Atef reiterated his assertion that there are a number of reasons hindering the export process, including the rigidity of procedures, and stressed the need to urgently create a unified window regarding gold exports.

Atef confirmed the decline in the volume of gold imports, but he denied that this was due to what is being said about the presence of fears about the presence of members of the Rapid Support Militia in the gold areas, stressing that the security conditions in these areas are very stable.
