Sudan Requires the AU to Deal With it As A Full Member

President of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council TSC , Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, said that Sudan’s trust in the African Union AU and the solutions it can provide is conditional on it restoring its trust in the African Union AU by dealing with it as a full member.
This came while Al-Burhan’s meeting with the delegation of the African Union AU high-level mechanism concerned with Sudan, headed by Mohamed Shinbaz, in Port Sudan, according to a statement by the Sovereignty Council TSC .
Al-Burhan reviewed a comprehensive enlightenment to the Mechanism delegation on the developments of situations since the dissolution of the partnership between the military component and the political forces due to the faltering reaching of a consensus, affirming that what happened at that time was not a coup.
Al-Burhan briefed the African Mechanism delegation on the political developments in Sudan since the Rapid Support RSF coup and its rebellion against the State and the violations it committed against civilian citizens.
The Council’s statement said that Al-Burhan expressed Sudan’s trust in the African Union AU and the solutions it can provide, provided that the country restores its trust in the African Union AU by dealing with it as a full member of this organization.
Al-Burhan also explained to them that the basis of the solution lies in the withdrawal of the rebel forces from the cities and villages they occupied and displaced their people.
For his part, the head of the delegation of the African Union AU high-level mechanism, Mohamed Shenbaz, affirmed the importance of stopping the war and achieving stability for Sudan and its people, which represents stability for the entire African continent, given its important and strategic geographical location
Shanbaz pointed out the keenness of the African Mechanism and its endeavor to find solutions to the crisis, noting that the Mechanism listened to all Sudanese political forces.

With a group of civil and political powers in Port Sudan.
The Political Secretary of the Future Movement for Reform and Development, Hisham Osman Al-Shawani, said: “We have all affirmed to this African committee our attitude in the support of the sovereignty of the Sudanese State, and in support of a national path to address the war crisis.
We have discussed with them the role of the African Union AU recently and the loss of its identity in suspicious initiatives that do not support a solution in Sudan.
