On an exceptional day The Three Yards Back to the homeland
Sudan Events: Magda Hassan
Yesterday, the second day in Ramadan, remained an exceptional day for the masses of the Sudanese people inside and outside Sudan, a day in which the voice of the veteran Dr. Omar Al-Juzali is strong, free of weakness and illness, as he announces the return of (Here, Omdurman), a day that the people of Sudan have long awaited because of its high moral value, that Sudan’s voice should be free.
Whistle
As soon as the happy announcement was made, and in a unique gesture, the voice of broadcaster Nisreen Hassan Al-Imam rose with joyful ululations over the liberation of “her house.”
The celebrations continued throughout the day, as the song “From the Broadcasting House,” voiced by singer Aisha Al-Falati, remained an icon today, and it is one of the songs that has symbolism in the conscience of the Sudanese people.
The song was shared on a day in which tears were mixed with ululations from everyone, especially broadcasters and media professionals, for the liberation of (their yard ), which they were deprived of for an entire year due to the war.
Control
The story begins on April 15, 2023 AD, when the Rapid Support Forces RSF were seeking to take over the radio station in the belief that they were victorious in order to broadcast through it a statement of their control over the country.
In the context of this, restrictions were placed on the workers, and their control was imposed on them, and the broadcast turned into repeating programs and excerpts after the studios stopped, and then it was cut off.
Broadcast after the transmission malfunctioned, and a number of broadcasters and TV technicians were imprisoned for more than a month, and according to widespread accounts and clips, the building was turned into a prison, and into platforms for launching missiles, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft guns. They turned the Manarat Al-Ma’rifa into a detention center.
Silence
Dr.Ibrahim Al-Siddiq, the former director of TV wrote an extensive article about the return of the yards , and the phrases came out strong and precise, as he wrote: Radio and TV have returned, and the nation’s voice and image have returned.
The tragedy occurred on April 15, 2023 ,when he placed the ganja (weapons ) around the yard and forced his voice to speak their name and extinguished the glory of the image… and silence settled in that noisy institution.
*Joy and crying
In a musical audio recording during the Ramadan open period, radio broadcaster and poet Rawda Al-Hajj recorded an audio clip in which she participated in the return of radio to the embrace of the homeland.
Likewise, journalist and poet Mohamed Mohamed Khair released a recording entitled (The Voice of Al-Juzali made me cry), through which he expressed his joy at the return of radio, explaining its value to all emerging people: Editing the radio does not mean editing the structure.
It is editing the voice and restoring Sorour’s tone. It is a restoration of Laila Al-Maghribi’s voice, reciting Wad Al-Makki’s poetry.
It is a revival of the forgotten words of Al-Nur Osman Abkar and the riddles of Ibrahim Ishaq, Omar Al-Juzali and Al-Fattah Al-Sabbagh.
Sharing
Individuals and institutions expressed during the day the return of the voice of Sudan, the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Culture and Information, Dr. Graham Abdel Qader, the General Union of Sudanese Journalists, and others all shared the joy and congratulated the media on the victory and the steadfast valiant forces, and also TV director Hatem Babiker said: It is a great blessing that your home is freed from filth and filth and shines brightly in the generous Ramadan.
Praise be to Allah for the blessing of liberating the voice and image of Sudan with the blood and tears of men
*War media
Sudanese Radio originated in World War II media uniforms in 1940, a precedent for television.
The radio continues to annually celebrate its birth and its journey in introducing Sudanese culture, and the name “The Three Yards ” is called (radio, TV , and the National Theater).
Now the radio has returned, television has returned, and the National Theater has returned to the homeland.
The neighborhoods were a complete life and a source of hope, life in the people, it was and still is, and the history of a nation.
Sudanese radio remained tall and represented the main source of all emerging media, and it did not hurt that the horizon was filled with new things.
It remained steadfast in the voice of the people, their issues and concerns, their laughter and their beautiful songs. Constants and rules left by previous managers since Metwali Eid, Mohamed Metwally Fahmy, Al-Khanji, Salehin, Abu Al-Azaim, Ali Shamo, Salah Ahmed Mohamed Saleh, Hamdy Badr El-Din, Al-Taj Hamad, Hamdy Boulad and Moatasem Fadl, and they remained until the last manager.
*A prominent role
The radio played a prominent role in introducing various fields, including recitation, interpretation, sports, poetry, singing, and literature. During it, the voices of Al-Tayeb Salih, Abdullah Al-Tayeb, Siddiq Ahmed Hamdoun, Faraj Al-Tayeb, Al-Tayeb Mohamed Al-Tayeb, Salah Mohy Al-Din, Al-Fahl, Al-Rashid Badawi Obaid, Awad Babakr and others were established, and this is what gave the place its value.
In the conscience of the Sudanese people, its return was the return of the soul to the body, or as radio personality Abdel-Azim Awad told me, its return meant the end of the war.
