Banks resume activity in the state of Gezira

A number of banks announced their readiness to resume work in the state of Gezira, starting from March 26, which will begin in the localities that are not currently controlled by the rebel militia.
While the Governor of Gezira State, Al-Taher Ibrahim Al-Khair, during the security committee meeting yesterday, in the presence of bank managers, was assured of the security arrangements for resuming the work of the banks, pointing out the necessity of resuming the work of the banks because of the economic value that Al-Manaqil locality represents due to the multiplicity of its resources and the provision of security and stability, which helps in turning the wheel of work and revitalizing the economic movement.
The governor pointed out the importance of banking systems to provide liquidity and provide all necessary banking transactions to citizens.
For their part, representatives of the banks praised the arrangements to overcome all obstacles that enable them to perform their banking roles to the public in light of the circumstances our country is going through, stressing their stance and support for the armed forces in one trench until victory.
