Khartoum: To Develop A road map for return of old Omdurman Citizens

The meeting of the Supreme Committee for Emergency and Crisis Management in Khartoum State, on Wednesday, headed by the governor of Khartoum, Ahmed Osman Hamza, directed to develop a road map for the safe return of the old Omdurman neighborhoods that were recently liberated.
The map includes conducting a comprehensive health and environmental survey of residential neighborhoods, consistent with vector and waste control, removing barricades, pest control, and completing the transportation of corpses and foreign objects.
Khartoum State Water Authority presented a report to the meeting on the progress of work in rehabilitating the stations to provide supplies to the areas affected by the water outage, while power Department is currently assessing the damage to the transformers and wires and starting maintenance.
In this regard, the meeting decided to hold an expanded meeting with citizen representatives to agree on a common vision.
The meeting listened to reports on humanitarian aid, the work of organizations, and the need to tighten joint coordination to cover all target groups, while the meeting appreciated the cleaning campaigns organized in the Karari locality.
