Increased Demand for Dollar and Rise in its Prices

Follow-ups of (Sudan Events) have revealed an increasing demand for foreign currencies, especially the US dollar, as a result of which prices witnessed a new rise.
Traders in the foreign exchange market (Sudan Events) reported that the purchase price of the dollar in parallel market trading (Wednesday) reached 1,415 pounds, while the selling price reached 1,435 pounds, and the Saudi Riyal recorded 376 pounds, while the trading price of the Emirati dirham reached 385 pounds, and the Qatari Riyal recorded 378 pounds.
Foreign currency prices at banks in safe areas and states witnessed an increase, as the dollar recorded 1,128.40 pounds in Bank of Khartoum transactions, while this price increased to around 1,200 pounds in Omdurman Bank, and the price in Faisal Bank reached about 1,180 pounds.
In the meantime the price of the Saudi Riyal at the Bank of Khartoum reached 327.8 pounds, the price of the Qatari Riyal reached 340.80 pounds, while the Emirati Dirham recorded 338.38 pounds.
