Sudan Events – Follow-ups
Information was revealed behind the scenes of what took place at the Paris conference regarding Sudan.
The information said that the Sultan of Dar Masalit, Saad Bahr Al-Din, did not withdraw from the conference and demanded that the umbrella of participation be expanded to include all Sudanese components and to discuss the real issues of the people of Sudan and the Masalit people.
The information indicated that the national forces formed a majority during the conference event and intended to defeat (Taqaddum) by ensuring a cessation of the war by implementing the Jeddah Agreement.
According to the information, the national forces succeeded in adopting the communities and organizers of the seminar, which was organized by the French, by expanding the dialogue and including community forces from Sufi sects, native administration, and involving refugee representatives, despite the objection of the Taqaddum group.
The information indicated that the Taqaddum group rejected the National Forces’ proposal to issue a final statement, under the pretext that they were invited to the event as individuals.
