Sudan: “Chadian Support for Militia is Clearer than Daylight”

Sudan Events – Follow-ups

The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has criticized statements by the Chadian Foreign Minister, denying his country’s support for the Rapid Support Militia (RSF) .
The Sudanese Acting Foreign Minister-, Ambassador Hussein Awad, said in a statement commenting on the statement of the Chadian Foreign Minister, “This statement that I heard while outside the country does not express the brotherly Chadian people, whose position they know the truth about their government’s involvement in the war of aggression against Sudan and its people.”
The statement indicated the condemnation of a number of Chadian political, social and religious leaders for the disgraceful role of the Chadian government on behalf of regional and international powers that covet Africa’s resources by opening its lands and airports to arms supplies to the terrorist militia, and allowing the entry of property looted from Sudanese citizens and trading in it openly.
The statement said that the Chadian minister’s attempt to deny a glaring fact known to the whole world is futile.
The statement stressed that Chadian support for the terrorist militia is clearer than daylight, and includes allocating the airports of Um Jares and Abéché to receive flights transporting weapons and military equipment for the terrorist militia from the UAE.
He pointed out that these flights have so far reached more than 400 flights, monitored by specialized national and international agencies, with details of the carrier aircraft, the routes they took, and the dates of their arrival and unloading, supported by satellite images. This was also reported by the international media and research centers in a number of Western countries, as well as documented by the team of independent experts assigned by the Security Council to follow up on Resolution 1591 in its last report before the Council, which explained the ways in which these weapons and equipment arrived from Chad to the militia.
He revealed that the Sudanese Armed Forces dealt with some convoys transporting weapons from Chad after they entered Sudanese territory. The competent authorities also monitored in recent days the arrival of military vehicles to Chad through the Cameroonian port of Douala, and their final destination for the terrorist militia is through Chadian territory.
He pointed out the arrangement and coordination of the participation of Chadian mercenaries and those from countries from which Sudan can only be reached via Chad. A large number of these Chadian mercenaries, or those who entered Sudan via Chad, died while fighting alongside the militia in different regions of the country, along with those who… Currently in the hands of the competent Sudanese authorities.
The statement said, “International media and UN officials also documented this. In fact, the rebel militia itself contributed to this by broadcasting videos of what happened to some of these dead mercenaries from Chad and other neighboring countries.”
He added, “Chad also remained the headquarters of the militia leaders, where meetings and gatherings were held, where recruitment operations, buying loyalty, and receiving money were carried out, as well as treating injured members of the terrorist militia in its hospitals, or arranging for them to travel outside the region for treatment.”
He continued, “In fact, some of what was stated in the Chadian minister’s own speech confirms his country’s interference in the internal affairs of Sudan.”
He pointed out that he mentioned that they still consider Mohammad Hamdan Dagalo as Vice President of the Sovereign Council, even though he was removed from that position after rebelling against the state and directing his weapons at defenseless citizens.
The statement considered the aforementioned Chadian official’s speech, in addition to being a blatant interference in the affairs of Sudan and in matters that do not concern him, and a departure from good international norms, to belittle the victims of the genocide committed by the rebel militia in El Geneina, a few miles from the border with Chad, and the rest of its heinous crimes in various countries. All over the country.
He said, “Unfortunately, the current Chadian government has made itself dependent on external forces that have previously caused destruction, killing, and instability in many countries in the region, for the narrow self-interests of some Chadian officials, in denial of the strong historical and social relations between the two brotherly peoples, and the principles of good neighborliness and the Charter of Nations.” The United Nations and international law, and a coup against the legacy of the late President Idriss Deby, who was characterized by wisdom and concern for good-neighborly relations, and could not be bought from external powers, because he knew that those powers would betray him after using him for their purposes, and that they would not help him in the face of any internal isolation or isolation. Regionalism caused by his identification with the anti-regional agenda in pursuit of political money.”
The Foreign Minister added, “It is sad that the Chadian Foreign Minister chooses to defend falsehood and falsify facts. I hope he will be a mouthpiece for repeating nonsense and falsehoods that have no basis.”
The Sudanese Foreign Minister called on the government of Chad to return to its senses and stop fueling the war and the horrific violations committed by the terrorist militia against the Sudanese people, for the sake of the interest of its people first, and regional stability second, because the hostility of the Sudanese people and helping to contaminate their blood, honor and property has a very high cost, and whoever ignites the fire in Sudan will not be immune against it.
