Militia Bullets End Life of Child on Gezira and Lead to a Mass Exodus

The Hasahisa Resistance Committees have announced the death of the four-year-old child, Abbas Mohammad Abbas, as a result of a bullet wound to the leg fired by the Rapid Support militia during its attack on the village of Maryoud in Gezira State.
The child’s father died as a result of the treacherous militia attack.
The Hasahisa Resistance Committees said in a statement that during its recent attack on the village, the militia kidnapped women and children and demanded that their families pay large sums of money for their release, forcing residents to flee en masse from the village.
The statement added, “Then the militia began stealing furniture, crops, and everything possible through dumpers distributed between the villages of Maryoud and Tanub.”
