Qatar Sends Huge Food convoy to War-affected in Khartoum

Qatar Charity conducted a large food convoy allocated to families affected by the humanitarian crisis in Sudan, as part of a project to provide 50,000 food baskets implemented by Qatar Charity field teams, with funding from the Qatar Fund for Development.
During the reception of the aid convoy, which included 10,000 food baskets for more than 60,000 beneficiaries, on Tuesday, the Governor of Khartoum, Ahmed Osman Hamza, thanked the State of Qatar and its people for standing by the Sudanese people in all the tribulations and disasters they are going through, and said: “We thank and appreciate what you are doing.” The State of Qatar provides support to the Sudanese in this ordeal.”
For his part, the Minister of Social Development in Khartoum State, Siddiq Freni, said that the arrival of the Qatar Charity convoy in this very delicate and exceptional circumstance, with the large quantities of food aid it carries, is “the greatest gift to all the people who cling to their land.”
