Requesting Bank of Sudan to Intervene to Reschedule the Industrial Sector’s Debts

The former Secretary-General of the Federation of Sudanese Chambers of Industry, Ashraf Salah Nour El-Din, has revealed arrangements to address and reschedule the sector’s debts to banks.
Ashraf revealed in his speech to (Sudan Events) that the Federation of Chambers of Industry presented a demand and vision to the state regarding the need for the Bank of Sudan to intervene as a representative of the state in scheduling the debt of the sector and its employees for a period extending from 3-5 years, and to seek to provide new financing for reconstruction through a new portfolio with a capital of no less than two billion. dollars, despite their knowledge that the banks themselves, as a result of the war, suffer from weak capabilities due to their exposure to plunder and theft. He stressed that the intervention of the Bank of Sudan and the state is required in this aspect so that these banks do not collapse under the weight of the industrial sector’s indebtedness and the indebtedness of other sectors.
