Saudi singer beautifully performs a Sudanese song

The song “A’taf Aly Ya Reem” performed by Saudi singer Zeina Emad was widely praises by Sudanese audience as she performed a Sudanese song in a beautiful and emotional way. The song was written by the poet Saleh Abdel Sayed Abu Salah, composed and sung by Krouma. A number of Sudanese artists sang it, and many considered the artist’s performance of the song and her choice to perform it as an indication of the song’s departure from the cloak of the “Al Mambo Al Sudani” and “Al-Terilla” songs, “Yalla Namshi Al-Neel”, as taste in the Arab world began to shift towards listening to and enjoying authentic Sudanese songs.
