Sudan Events – Monitoring
IGAD Executive Secretary, Workneh Gebeyehu, met on Friday with US Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa, Mike Hammer, in Addis Ababa to discuss the Sudanese crisis.
During the meeting, Gebeyehu reaffirmed IGAD’s commitment to doubling efforts to bring peace to Sudan and the region.
The discussion also covered regional issues of common concern, with the attendance of US Ambassador Stephanie Sullivan from the US Mission to the African Union.
