Health Ministry Purchases Disease-Control Pesticides Worth Over 4 Billion SDG

The Federal Ministry of Health revealed the purchase of disease-control supplies, funded by the Ministry of Finance at a cost of 4,048,918,695 SDG. These include 80 hand sprayers, which have already arrived at the port, 750,000 pesticide tablets, and 12,000 liters of liquid pesticide, expected to arrive next week. The ministry noted that Sudan has shown success in managing pesticide resistance and effectively combating disease vectors, with the implementation of strategies to reduce pesticide resistance as part of vector-control interventions. Acting Minister of Health Dr. Haitham Muhammad Ibrahim explained that the rainy season supplies, which include pesticides, are purchased annually through government funding from the Federal Ministry of Finance.
