Arteta, Arsenal Manager: It’s Time to Stop Liverpool

Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, stated that it is time for his team to stop Liverpool from pulling further ahead in the Premier League title race.
Arsenal are trailing Liverpool by 9 points before their game against Brentford on Wednesday, marking the first match of the year for both teams.
Liverpool remain the favorites to win the title this season, having won 14 of their 18 games.
When asked about the difficulty of catching up with Liverpool, the Spanish manager replied, “We need to keep going like a hammer, trying every round. If someone wins all their games, we’ll congratulate them and move on to the next season.”
However, Arteta added, “But if they don’t manage that, we’ll be in the race.”
Arsenal is aiming for their first league title in two decades without their star player Bukayo Saka, who will be out until at least March due to a hamstring injury.
Saka will miss at least 9 more Premier League matches, as well as the FA Cup third-round match against Manchester United and both Carabao Cup semi-finals against Newcastle United.
With Saka’s absence, and Raheem Sterling recovering from a knee injury, Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli will have the chance to fill the attacking flanks for Arsenal.
