Khartoum Water: Measures to Address Water Breakages in the State Areas
Sudan Events – Follow-ups
The Director-General of Khartoum State Water Corporation, Consultant Engineer Mohamed Ali Al-Ajib, revealed the availability of “Poly Aluminum Chloride,” a substance used for water purification. In a press release on Thursday, he stated that the Corporation has implemented measures to address the breakages of water lines and networks in the state areas to prevent water wastage. He pointed out that the Corporation is currently mobilizing efforts to provide the necessary maintenance materials to intervene and address breakages, praising the maintenance workers’ efforts in carrying out repairs.
Al-Ajib also revealed technical solutions that the Corporation had implemented in 185 wells in the Karari locality during the past year, in collaboration with the state government and community efforts. He urged water consumers to cooperate seriously with the Corporation’s collection teams to pay consumption bills. He emphasized that the weak collection rates delay their efforts in ensuring sustainable and stable water supply.
