Sudan Events – Reports
On Wednesday, the Ministry of Health in Khartoum State reported a decline in the number of patients visiting health facilities due to the paralysis caused by electricity outages.
The Ministry of Health in Khartoum stated in a statement that the previous week saw a decline in patient visits to health institutions due to the paralysis of laboratory, radiology, ultrasound, ECG, and physiotherapy services.
It called for the use of alternative energy in hospitals and health centers to address the consequences of the targeted electricity outages caused by the Rapid Support Forces’ systematic targeting of the services sector.
The Ministry revealed that the Rapid Support Forces’ shelling of residential areas during one week led to the death of 11 civilians and the injury of 294 others, who were transferred to operating hospitals in Karari and Omdurman for treatment.
