The Al-Jazira Conference has reported an increase in abductions, with 200 people kidnapped from villages in northern Al-Gezira by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) over the past three weeks.
According to conference secretary-general Al-Mabr Mahmoud, as cited by “Sudan Tribune,” reports indicate that 200 individuals, including two women, were abducted by the RSF from northern Al-Gezira villages in the last three weeks.
He added that the RSF is demanding ransom payments ranging from 5 to 50 million Sudanese pounds per person for their release.
