Savings Bank Reveals Annual Family Financing Volume

The Savings and Social Development Bank participated in a panel discussion with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) in Gedaref. The bank was represented by the Director of Investment and Financing, Awadallah Babiker, and the Branch Manager in Gedaref, Mohamed Ishaq.
During the session, the Director of Investment provided an overview of the bank, its establishment, and its operational framework. He explained that the bank operates through two main channels: one offering commercial financing for large-scale investment projects, while the other provides microfinance for developmental and productive projects targeting small-scale producers.
The Director of Investment stated that the bank supports approximately 67,000 families annually through its microfinance program, offering accessible guarantees with 14 different collateral options.
The discussion also included questions and inquiries about the opportunities provided by the bank through its 67 branches and agencies across all Sudanese states.
