Minister of Social Development: Opening of Savings Bank Branch is a Response to Sudan’s Enemies

Governor of the Blue Nile region, Lieutenant General Ahmed Badi Al-Omda, highly praised the efforts of the Savings and Social Development Bank in fostering economic and social development across the country. Speaking at the inauguration of the bank’s new branch in Roseries, he described it as a significant addition to the region, highlighting the Blue Nile’s vast economic potential. He commended the bank for offering real solutions to local poverty, emphasizing that fieldwork is the key to developing the region and improving services.
Meanwhile, the state’s Minister of Social Development, Dawood Idris Dawood, described the opening of the Roseries branch at this critical time as a direct response to Sudan’s adversaries, who seek to weaken the country and deplete its resources. He expressed satisfaction with the partnership between his ministry and the bank in supporting social development initiatives.
For his part, Awadallah Babiker, Director of Investment and Finance at the bank, affirmed the institution’s readiness to finance infrastructure projects across various sectors. He noted that Roseries is the 67th branch in the bank’s network and emphasized the bank’s innovative financial products designed to support economic growth, including the interest-free Qard Hasan loan. He also highlighted the bank’s numerous successes in social development, which have earned it local, regional, and international recognition.
