The Army Attacks Militia Positions in Central Khartoum

Field sources reported that the Sudanese army launched an attack on Rapid Support Forces (RSF) positions in central Khartoum and East Nile on Wednesday.

According to Al Jazeera, the sources indicated that the army advanced from its bases in Al-Muqran toward central Khartoum and the vicinity of the Presidential Palace, aiming to retake it from the RSF militia, which has controlled the palace since the early days of the war.

Meanwhile, a field source told Al Jazeera that the army’s elite forces deployed in several neighborhoods in East Nile, including Al-Naseem and Haj Yousif.
