
The Security Committee of Al Jazeera State issued firm and strict directives to all forces stationed at checkpoints to detain all suspects, regulate crossing movements, and seize and search all tinted or unlicensed vehicles.
On Monday, the Security Committee—led by the Governor of Al Jazeera, Al-Tahir Ibrahim Al-Khair, accompanied by Major General Imad Al-Din Sayed Ahmed (Director of Security and Intelligence in the state), Major General Awad Al-Karim Ali Saeed (Commander of the First Infantry Division), and Major General Abdel Ilah Ali (Director of the State Police)—conducted an extensive field tour. The tour covered several military checkpoints inside and outside the city of Wad Madani to inspect operations and address challenges and urgent needs.
The tour included checkpoints at the Hantoub Bridge, Abu Haraz, Karona, and the Heart Center checkpoint. The total number of checkpoints within Wad Madani is nine.
The Governor of Al Jazeera expressed his full satisfaction with the performance, organization, and efforts of the deployed forces in maintaining security. He called for increased coordination between the various security bodies to ensure effective security operations.
The governor emphasized that the security of citizens is a red line that must not be compromised, and he stressed the need to adhere to the law and respect citizens’ dignity during operations.
Lieutenant Colonel Ali Abdelrahim, Commander of the Checkpoints, noted that the deployed forces consist of various units from different security agencies and operate under a unified security plan aimed at enhancing stability and controlling violations.
