
On Tuesday, Molana Intisar Ahmed Abdelal Ahmed was sworn in as Sudan’s Attorney General before General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, in the presence of the Chief Justice’s representative and the Sovereignty Council Secretary-General.
Molana Intisar emphasized her commitment to upholding the rule of law, justice, and the dignity of Sudanese citizens. She stressed that the country is going through a delicate and critical period requiring unity and cooperation, noting the importance of protecting national cohesion and social fabric.
She outlined the prosecution’s priorities: pursuing perpetrators of serious crimes and violations, combating all forms of corruption, ensuring accountability, and protecting vulnerable groups, especially women and children. Molana Intisar confirmed that the Attorney General’s office will remain open to all and will work to maintain transparency and community engagement. She concluded by reaffirming her dedication to serving the nation and prioritizing Sudan’s citizens in all judicial actions.
