Jaber Reviews Progress of International Litigation Procedures

Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Assistant Commander-in-Chief, Lieutenant General Engineer Ibrahim Jaber Ibrahim, reviewed the Ministry of Justice’s efforts regarding ongoing international litigation procedures, as well as the memoranda prepared to define new litigation pathways at the level of the International Court of Justice and other courts that allow international legal action.

This came during his meeting on Thursday at his office in Khartoum with the Minister of Justice, Mawlana Abdullah Mohamed Darf.

In a press statement, the Minister of Justice explained that he provided a detailed briefing to the Sovereignty Council member on the ministry’s vision regarding tracks related to the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights.

He also pointed to the measures taken by the ministry to organize the work of professional unions and specialized associations, in addition to other issues related to the status of international organizations and UN agencies, and strengthening coordination in the fields of human rights and international humanitarian law.
