The Sudanese Embassy in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, announced on Sunday the launch of the first flights under the voluntary return program for Sudanese nationals next Friday, in coordination with the relevant Libyan authorities and the Higher Committee for Voluntary Return.
A source at the embassy told Al-Muhaqqiq that the first flight will carry 166 returnees, with additional flights scheduled to follow. The source noted that the embassy has resolved all obstacles related to travel documents and administrative procedures in coordination with the Libyan side.
The embassy had completed, weeks earlier, the process of registering Sudanese nationals wishing to return, in preparation for scheduling both air and land trips under the program.
