Humanitarian volunteers confirmed that artillery shelling targeting the market in the city of Dilling on Saturday resulted in deaths and injuries among civilians, noting that the city experienced extremely difficult moments due to the attacks.
A humanitarian volunteer from Dilling in South Kordofan State told Ultra Sudan that the shelling—launched by the Rapid Support Forces militia and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North—targeted the Dilling market on Saturday afternoon, causing casualties.
The volunteer added: “The number of fatalities has not yet been fully counted. It was a very difficult moment for residents due to the artillery bombardment, but it is confirmed that there are deaths and injuries caused by shells fired from long-range artillery deployed by the Rapid Support Forces and the SPLM-N outside the city of Dilling.”
