Kuwait: Targeting Khartoum Airport Is a Violation of Sudan’s Sovereignty

The State of Kuwait expressed its condemnation and denunciation of the targeting of a site within the premises of Khartoum International Airport, considering it a violation of Sudan’s sovereignty and a breach of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.

In a statement, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed Kuwait’s categorical rejection of any attacks on civilian objects and vital infrastructure, stressing the importance of adhering to the commitments outlined in the Jeddah Declaration, particularly those related to the protection of civilians and keeping civilian facilities out of conflict.

The ministry renewed Kuwait’s support for Sudan’s unity, sovereignty, and stability, calling on all parties to prioritize dialogue and pursue peaceful solutions that fulfill the aspirations of the Sudanese people for security, peace, and stability.
