Prime Minister Professor Kamil Idris emphasized the need for national unity, a strong internal front, and standing alongside the armed forces in the “Battle of Dignity” to achieve security and stability across the country.
This came during his meeting on Wednesday in Khartoum with Sheikh Musa Hilal, head of the Revolutionary Awakening Council.
Both the Prime Minister and Musa Hilal paid tribute to the martyrs of the Battle of Dignity across Sudan, praying for mercy and forgiveness for them, a speedy recovery for the wounded, and the safe return of the missing.
In a press statement, Musa Hilal explained that the meeting addressed national issues and the current challenges facing the country, noting the ability of the Sudanese people and leadership to overcome the current crisis and move forward toward stability and development.
Hilal reaffirmed his support for the armed forces in the Battle of Dignity against the Rapid Support Forces militia, stressing the Sudanese people’s resilience in confronting plans led by the UAE, Ethiopia, and some regional countries, and calling on them to reconsider their positions and respect Sudan’s sovereignty.
