The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, on Saturday conducted an inspection visit to the Al-Manara Water Station to assess firsthand the efforts being made to restore water services to citizens.
The Chairman of the Sovereignty Council directed the National Water Corporation to immediately begin the necessary maintenance operations and provide all required equipment and support to resume water pumping at Al-Manara Station and all other water stations in the state, in order to end the suffering of citizens.
Al-Burhan also carried out a field tour to inspect the conditions of residents in Ombada Blocks 17 (C) and (B), where he listened to their demands and needs regarding water and electricity services. He affirmed the state’s full commitment to mobilizing all available resources to overcome obstacles and provide essential services that would enable citizens to live in dignity, stabilize conditions in the area, and create a suitable environment for citizens to return to their homes.
The visit by the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council was warmly welcomed by residents, who praised his keenness to be among them and address their concerns directly. They also commended the ongoing efforts to rebuild what had been destroyed by the militia.
